FILM 2116: MACGRUBER (2010)

TRIVIA: Suffered one of the biggest theatrical fall-offs in recent cinema history when it dropped from 2,546 cinemas to only 177 in the US in just three weeks.

Val Kilmer and Will Forte almost ended up being on CBS' hit series The Amazing Race(2001) because of this film, where they became good friends. Kilmer later stayed at Forte's house for a few months while searching for a new L.A.-based home for himself, and Forte (a huge fan of TAR) introduced Kilmer to the show. They were about to apply as a team when their other work commitments led to the idea being dropped.

The cast includes six active (at the time) WWE wrestlers: Dalip Singh ("The Great Khali"), Glen Jacobs ("Kane"), Paul Wight ("The Big Show"), Mark Henry, Chris Jericho, and Antonio Burke Jr. ("MVP").

Director Jorma Taccone's wife, Marielle Heller, has a small cameo in the movie, credited as Clocky.
